Job Summary and Qualifications:


In this role you will:


  • Responsible for the Registration of patients upon entering the facility for procedures
  • Schedules patient appointments according to facility standards; routinely scans in advance schedules to insure that there are no conflicts, all reports have been received, patients and/or referring physicians offices are contacted and authorization has been obtained.
  • Contacts patients at least one week in advance to confirm appointments, insure demographic information is correct.
  • Notes in chart pertinent patient schedule compliance information for physician and clinical staff (expired, refused to come, ect.)
  • Obtains signatures upon patient visit; insures that there is compliance with privacy rules, release of medical records, ect.
  • Provides answers to questions in a professional manner.
  • Obtains and verifies insurance information, insures that authorization for radiation services is obtained, files all insurance data in medical record for future reference
  • Collects deductible and copayment amounts
  • Routes patients to immediate supervisor when indicated
  • Acts as an advocate and assists patient with insurance issues to ensure collection of outstanding accounts

Job Requirements:


  • 3 years General Medical Office experience preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
