SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Special Education Teachers in the implementation of an effective educational program for children assigned. Provides services to young children.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the formulation and implementation of educational Programming consistent with the I.E.P. and Master Treatment Plan.
- Prepare and present verbal and written reports concerning children
- With Departmental privileging administer educational diagnostic tests.
- Attend and participate in meetings or conferences including supervisory sessions staff meetings or other meetings as assigned.
- Participate in parent conference as required.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluations.
- Prepare maintain and submit required reports records statistical data or other information.
- Assist assigned children in all aspects of daily programming including selfcare social skills and recreation.
- Observes all school policies rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as required assigned or directed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a major in Special Education or related human service fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process
- Prior experience working with children helpful.
