- Plan, organize, and assign work tasks to align with plant schedules and optimize manpower and equipment usage to meet OEE efficiencies and drive continuous improvement within the plant.
- Provide guidance to production staff, monitor performance, and communicate any schedule changes promptly. Assist in addressing production issues to ensure timely completion of customer orders.
- Maintain communication with managers, plant schedulers, and other staff regarding production progress and promptly report any issues that may affect order completion.
- Ensure adherence to product specifications and notify production manager and quality assurance of any quality concerns immediately. Address quality issues through personnel training and enforcement of standards.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of processes and equipment functions, resolve labor timekeeping issues, and propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in the plant.
- Develop and deliver job-specific training to all employees, ensure compliance with Company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and housekeeping standards.
- Promote safety in the plant, abide by all safety procedures, and ensure their enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with all Food Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Pasteurized Milk Order (PMO).
- Supervise production associates effectively, including prioritizing tasks, delegating assignments, and scheduling employees to optimize production and sanitation functions. Support HR in progressive disciplinary actions.
- Supervise and motivate employees to enhance performance, maintain optimal staffing levels, and achieve daily production goals while complying with company processes, standards, safety regulations, and policies.
- Organize and conduct employee training sessions, analyze and resolve work issues, and assist workers in troubleshooting problems.
- Manage department's production paperwork, including CIP & HTST charts when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, food safety, GMPs, and other requirements such as EPA, OSHA, FDA, CDFA, and SQF.
- Utilize master production log to anticipate future orders and requirements based on current needs.
- Conduct daily inventory checks and adjust production based on the previous shift's output.
- Coordinate with the engineering department on machine/equipment repairs, maintenance, or other issues.
- Check product code dates and report any discrepancies to supervisors or managers.
- Maintain cleanliness in and around the production area at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies.

Hours Per Week: 40+ hours; Full Time
Job Duties: The role of PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR involves working in the processing plant, supporting machine operators with operations, packing, monitoring, and more.
Physical Requirements: The employee must use hands, talk, taste, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, push, pull, lift, and move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, and color vision are necessary for this role.
Work Environment: The employee will be exposed to cold, wet, or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels in the work environment.
