    VA Careers - Licensed Clinical Social Worker:

    Total-Rewards-of-an-Allied-Health-VA-Career-Function or scope of assigned duties:The Coordinator administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of services provided to patients.

    He/She develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, inpatient days patient demographics, equipment utilization and patient satisfaction.

    The Coordinator develops, implements and evaluates clinical guidelines and protocols to establish appropriate utilization of services.
    The Coordinator performs the administrative and personal management function relative to staff supervised.

    The incumbent establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.

    The Social Worker acts as a subject matter expert and liaison with community agencies.

    He/She coordinates community-based services, including information and referral to or from other VA programs, government programs, and community agency programs.

    The Social Worker has knowledge and experience in the use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures.

    He/She identifies high-risk patients and provides appropriate intervention case management services.

    Work Schedule:
    Monday to Friday.

    Parental Leave:


    After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.


    Child Care Subsidy:


    After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.
