On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Field Data Collector to work on-site at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina. This part-time position requires availability up to 10 days per month, 8 hours per day, including evenings for international flights.

    As a Field Data Collector, you will distribute and collect surveys from a sample of flights to achieve a total of approximately 170 completed surveys per month. The survey is a self-administered 15-minute questionnaire given to both US residents and non-residents, including passengers fluent in languages other than English.

    The hourly pay rate for this role is $20, with an additional $5 per hour bonus for meeting monthly objectives.

    About the Survey of International Air Travelers (SIAT):

    The Survey of International Air Travelers is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO). This initiative aims to gather data on international air travelers to and from the United States. The program, which began in 1983, operates at 29 US gateways, including Charlotte (CLT) since 2014.

    Responsibilities of a Field Data Collector:

    • Distribute and collect surveys from a sample of flights to meet a monthly quota
    • Engage with the community to encourage survey participation
    • Arrive at the departure gate 2 hours prior to departure to distribute surveys
    • Available to work up to 10 days per month for 8 hours per day
    • Other assigned duties

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Minimum age of 21
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Detail-oriented and accurate
    • Ability to work independently
    • Previous survey administration experience desired
    • Comfortable engaging with the community
    • Proficient in smartphone usage and photo-taking
    • Willing to undergo airport badging background check

    Training & Schedule:

    - Paid virtual training post airport badging completion, followed by up to 8 days per month of work

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift packages up to a certain weight
    • Intermittent lifting of lightweight objects
    • Continuous movement around the airport
    • Exposure to various environments
    • Strong communication skills in English
