Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Patient Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Risk Management with tasks and activities related to the facility's risk and claims management program. Activities/functions include managing/analyzing data, compiling reports, conducting facility investigations, assisting with pertinent education activities, and participating in performance improvement teams pertinent to risk management. It is the responsibility of each employee to maximize the resources of the hospital. As a member of the HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland's staff, the employee makes a significant contribution to the public's perception of the hospital. Performs additional tasks/activities as assigned.

Position Responsibilities

What qualifications you will need:


- Texas RN license or compact state licensure preferred**:


  • 2+ years of recent risk management or quality management preferred

Experience in an acute care setting preferred:


  • Certified Professional in-Patient Safety (CPPS) required within 1 year of hire:

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Bachelor's Degree preferred:
