Overview:
Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support the customs compliance efforts of 40+ locations packaging business.
The Trade Compliance Analyst will engage in maintaining compliance procedures for import and export regimes in U.S.; organization of recordkeeping and classification database, randomly conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with U.S.
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilites:
- Provide daily import/export operational guidance to internal customers, including brokers and transportation companies
- Work in coordination all groups to facilitate and track the flow of all international shipments
- Review, correct, archive all customs paperwork related to international shipments following SOP Standards.
- Partner with classification requests and support maintenance of parts classification (HTSUS) database
- Assist in Recordkeeping activities and Shipment Tracker report.
- Special projects and administrative support to the Trade Compliance Manager as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GEC; Bachelor's degree required in Business or a Supply Chain or related discipline; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3+ years experience in customs or logistics roles.
- Technical knowledge of US Customs Regulations, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and issues of import admissibility.
- Customs or Freight forwarder experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
- Outstanding organizational and written communication skills
- Selfmotivated and able to simultaneously manage multiple, timesensitive tasks with mínimal supervision
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with the Automated Commercial Environment and Periodic Monthly Statement Processing is a plus
- SAP experience highly desired
