Seeking Experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager
We are a family-owned and operated auto dealer that has been in business since 1952.
We are seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager/ Painter /Team Lead, to handle the huge service demand at our Collision Center.
You will oversee mentor and manage a small team of Technicians, their workflow, and the business at hand.Your strong estimating skills, penchant for excellence, ability to positively mentor a crew and turn a wrench and paint booth as needed, will make you a strong fit for this role.

Hours:
Mon - Fri.
7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and assist auto body shop employees, assisting with scheduling, inventory and tool needs
- Ensure that production goals are being met on a daily basis while enforcing safety and company policies
- Coordinate work schedules, work in progress and other activities
- Maintain Body Shop paint and supply levels
- Ensure painting booths and other equipment is properly maintained
- Follow proper operating rules, procedures, and standardized work initiatives as assigned
- Partner and provide clear communication with other team members and departments involved in the vehicle reconditioning process
- Maintain a clean and productive work environment by keeping tools and supplies organized throughout the Inspection department
- Coordinate the cosmetic repair process of vehicles
- Ensure technician workflows are going smoothly and customer needs are prioritized
- Managing technician productivity
- Document all repairs and orders properly
- Maintain excellent communication with our direct repairs and insurance companies
- Interacting with external vendors on parts inventory
- Required to maintain the profitability of a department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction
- Required to understand and keep abreast of all federal, state and local regulations that affect their operations
- This is a handson, working position
- Perform job duties and functions with flexibility in the event circumstances shift, i.e., emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments.
- Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous Auto Body Managerial experience
- Body Shop Paint experience
- A qualityfirst mentality that takes pride in upholding vehicle quality standards
- Strong, consistent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Solid estimation experience
- Motivation to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license
