Requirements / Qualifications
DEFINITION:Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Student Services Mental Health Therapist will provide educationally related intensive counseling services (ERICS) to students receiving Special Education services and school-based mental health counseling services in order to promote mental health and personal growth.
The Mental Health Therapist consults with pertinent school staff and district personnel as it relates to the student and provides parent counseling as it relates to the student's disability as outlined by the student's Independent Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.
