Overview:
The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is a five-member commission appointed by the Governor. The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari-mutuel and gaming statutes and rules.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting
- Creates and maintains reports and necessary mechanisms to facilitate the accurate reporting of agency data, including ad hoc reporting.
- Regularly reviews access controls, user privileges, and authentication mechanisms as needed to mitigate security risks.
- Provides technical support to endusers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
- Develops documentation and reporting mechanisms to fulfill agency needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Four (4) years of experience in the duties and responsibilities described above or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in data reporting and analytics.
- Quality Assurance of services provided and have a continuous improvement plan.
- Sufficient experience in the duties and responsibilities described above can be considered to satisfy any of the minimum requirements.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
- Knowledge of current trends and State of Florida initiatives in the area of information systems.
- Ability to communicate information technology issues effectively with nontechnical users.
- Ability to coordinate vendors and team members.
- Ability to facilitate data reporting.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing issues.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work with users.
