Overview:

The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is a five-member commission appointed by the Governor. The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari-mutuel and gaming statutes and rules.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Reporting
  • Creates and maintains reports and necessary mechanisms to facilitate the accurate reporting of agency data, including ad hoc reporting.
  • Regularly reviews access controls, user privileges, and authentication mechanisms as needed to mitigate security risks.
  • Provides technical support to endusers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
  • Develops documentation and reporting mechanisms to fulfill agency needs.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Four (4) years of experience in the duties and responsibilities described above or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in data reporting and analytics.
  • Quality Assurance of services provided and have a continuous improvement plan.
  • Sufficient experience in the duties and responsibilities described above can be considered to satisfy any of the minimum requirements.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Knowledge of current trends and State of Florida initiatives in the area of information systems.
  • Ability to communicate information technology issues effectively with nontechnical users.
  • Ability to coordinate vendors and team members.
  • Ability to facilitate data reporting.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing issues.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with users.
