JOB SUMMARY


A Warehouse Bin Trainee, under the leadership of a designated Supervisor or Manager, will support the processes needed to satisfy new and current customer demands for Toyota products.

An Associate will 1) stock parts and accessories and/or 2) pick and ship parts and accessories in the PDC depending on specific assignment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Timely, consistent and predictable attendance.
  • Complete all required safety and job training.
  • Work safely; comply with all safety rules, maintain a clean, neat, safe work area; use scanning equipment and tools safely; and wear required personal protective equipment. Report incidents as soon as possible.
  • Meet and exceed quality and productivity standards.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and job instructions.
  • Perform various warehouse functions (for example, but not limited to sort, stock, pick, pack, stage, cycle counts) throughout the shift.
  • Use a radio frequency (RF) scanner to scan all parts and labels to ensure inventory is accurately tracked.
  • Accurately count and label parts.
  • Ensure that work is performed in the correct task group.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with GST policies, TMS operating standards, and applicable federal and state laws.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited school required.
  • Willing to cross train in other areas as needed.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend written and oral English instructions, short correspondence, standard operating procedures and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively discuss information in a one-on-one and small group situations to customers, business partners, and other employees of the organization.


Math skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required to regularly and repeatedly analyze and interpret data; access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other productivity devices; to talk; hear; stand; walk; stoop; kneel/squat, use hands and fingers, to handle, grip/squeeze and/or feel; push/pull and reach with hands and arms; position themselves to retrieve parts from bottom shelf and top shelf, climb stairs to retrieve parts from the mezzanine level; balance; crouch, or crawl.

The associate must frequently lift up to 40 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The job is generally performed in a warehouse environment.

The associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, cleaning chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions.

The associate is exposed to loud noise levels.
