This posting is for a full-time position located in Salem/Marion as a hybrid role.

What you will do:

This role functions as a business analyst concentrating on identifying, designing solutions, and resolving Medicaid claims-related tasks within the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). The focus will be on claims adjudication within the MMIS, including researching claims and their processing within the system. Additionally, responsibilities include testing change requests for the MMIS that impact the claims subsystem.

The position collaborates with various partners across the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), and shared services programs to address outstanding claims issues. Thorough research is required to identify different claim types in the MMIS. At times, the role involves advising agency leadership and partners on recommended changes to meet service expectations for Oregonians receiving Medicaid services.

Knowledge of state and federal rules governing Medicaid claims payments and all stages of claims processing is essential. The role also involves overseeing and collaborating on the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) and addressing other MMIS system issues as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work.
