Position:
Covering Kids and Families Bilingual Enrollment Specialist


Rate:
$17-$18.50 per hour depending on relevant expereince


Desired Minimum Qualifications:

Strong communication skills. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge of Healthy Indiana Plan, Medicaid and other health coverage a plus but will train.


Summary:
The Enrollment Specialist works to ensure access to health care by the uninsured and underinsured. This position is located in the community with travel required between Elkhart, St. Joseph, and occasionally Marshall Counties.

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.

This position requires onsite enrollments at a behavioral health facility in Elkhart once-twice a week.

Mileage reimbursement for travel.


Principle Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • If not currently Certified State Navigator and Federally Certified Application Counselor, we will train you—may attend training on the State and Federal Affordable Care Act Marketplace insurance products and pass the certification exam.
  • Maintain Indiana Navigator certification and Indiana Application Counselor Certification. We pay costs associated.
  • Conduct enrollment, outreach and retention activities with individuals and groups in service area: St Joseph, Elkhart, and Marshall Counties.
  • Assist individuals and families with community resources and referrals.
  • Attends meetings and conference calls as requested.
  • Maintains confidentiality and protects personal identifiable information.
  • Provides consumer education on insurance coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Communication skills must be well developed in order to facilitate dialogue with others.

Stamina is required to tolerate meetings, health fairs, and conferences, which may be long in duration. Self-motivated, flexible, willing to learn, and driven are key traits for this position.

Must be culturally sensitive.

Aptitudes & Abilities:


  • Verbal/written ability is needed to communicate with people of varying levels of education and backgrounds.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate agency rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Able to satisfy required and ongoing training and certification requirements as an Indiana Navigator.
  • Passage of an Indiana limited Criminal History Background Check.
  • Capable of interacting with others at all educational and socioeconomic levels in positive ways which reinforces teamwork and good results.

Pay:
$ $18.50 per hour
