Sales Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing hotel room and meeting room goals, maintaining and creating new client base.

*Maintain IHG Merlin's IHG Way of Sales; RFP, Lanyon, contracts, negotiations, etc.

*Insure ongoing hotel sales of Corporate, Leisure, Tours & Travel and group segments are achieved through solicitation of local companies and organizations, professional market segment associations, travel agents, consortium's etc., on a consistent basis.

*Coordinates the development of the Marketing Plan, Sales Action Plans and preparation of the budget in conjunction with the General Manager.

*Achieved budgeted revenues and personal/ team sales goals and maximize profitability.

*Consistently make outside sales calls to foster client/hotel relationships and to prospect new opportunities.

*Participates in solving problems with other departments as required related to business booked in the hotel including space conflicts, cancelations and compromises between customer needs and hotel facility.

*Enhances the hotel's community image and stays abreast of competition, new developments, and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry.

*Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.

*Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.

*Perform other duties as assigned also may serve as manager on duty.

*You may also be asked to perform on an as-needed basis in each department as necessary, as well as additional administrative duties as required.


Qualifications and Requirements
A minimum of one year preferably hotel Sales Manager Experience or Sales Experience.

Also you must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, outside sales call, and may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Sales Experience: 2 years (required)
