Our Housekeeping team members exemplifies the vision, the mission, and the vibrancy of the organization and contributes to the delivery of exceptional upkeep of St.

Ann's Home facility.


Essential Functions:


Day to Day operations:

In this role you will perform a range of Housekeeping tasks and general upkeep of the facility and resident rooms throughout the building.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Perform daytoday housekeeping functions as assigned.
  • Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
  • Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.
  • Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that water marks are removed from fixtures.
  • Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
  • Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc
(NOTE:

Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.)

  • Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
  • Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
  • Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
  • Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
  • Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
  • Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
  • Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.
  • Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.

Communication:
Keep regular, open communication with Environmental Services Director on any needs of indoor/outdoor spaces and gathering areas.


Unparalleled Service:
Uphold for self the highest standards of customer service at all times to residents and guests. Assist team as needed, in order to exceed resident's expectations.


Flexibility:
The ability to shift gears and implement new topics and processes quickly to address emerging facility needs. Work schedule may require conformity to department needs and outcomes.


Other duties as assigned to meet standards and organizational goals.

Education and Experience Requirements:


  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience. Nursing facility experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple competing demands for time and attention.
  • Ability to be selfmotivated to achieve desired organizational goals.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of associates, residents, and family members.
  • Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
  • Works well in team environment
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, through disciplined approaches and clear communication.
  • The ability to locate, track, organize and summarize information.
  • Able and willing to coach and train others.
  • Sense of humor

Physical Environment:


  • Must be able to move constantly throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Pay:
$ $14.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
