Role description:
Seeking a Document Controls Specialist to work as part of our on-site Construction Management Team on a large-scale NYCDEP construction project in Yonkers, NY.
Role accountabilities:
- Responsibilities will include, at a minimum, reviewing for completeness and responsiveness, managing and tracking all construction documents including, but not limited to, contractor submittals, subcontractor approval requests, Requests for Information ("RFIs"), daily reports, notices of delay, nonconformance reports, concrete records, substitution requests, requests for deviations (RFDs), change orders and potential credits.
- Additional responsibilities shall include distribution of notification to technical reviewers, compiling and resolving conflicting review comments, and tracking responsiveness to all key construction documents.
- Verify that each submittal is, of good quality and complete;
- Verify with the Contractor that their representatives have prepared the submittals per contract document requirements;
- Verify that the Contractor has coordinated, and that the submittal complies with the contract documents, in case the submittal is prepared by their supplier/manufacturer/subcontractor;
- Verify that submittals are signed and stamped by a Licensed Professional Engineer, if required by the Contract Documents;
- Verify that each RFI is accompanied with suggested solution(s); and
- Verify that each RFD is proposed with reasons and benefits to the City.
- Also responsible for maintaining (storing, managing, and tracking) project field office documentation files (correspondence, Requests for Information, Shop Drawings, manuals, and other project records both in print and/or electronically) and facilitating the controlled retrieval and distribution of project documents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10 years' experience working on largescale construction projects in a field office environment.
- Must also be a selfstarter, detail orientated, and have strong organizational skills.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $114,000.LI-ET1
