The focus of the
Hematology, Oncology, and Palliative Medicine Clinic is on the diagnosis and treatment of both benign and malignant blood and bone marrow diseases, as well as cancers of all organs.

We also provide care for patients with advanced cancer, where a cure is no longer possible, but maintaining and restoring quality of life is the main goal.

Our team consists of colleagues from various professions who work closely together to ensure the best treatment outcomes with the highest possible quality of life.


Your responsibilities:


  • Independent data collection, including from medical reports, registration forms, and electronic data sources
  • Clinical tumor documentation using the Giessen Tumor Documentation System (GTDS)
  • Coding according to the current standards of tumor base documentation and SOPs
  • Data verification, maintenance, and database analysis, including key figure determination for organ cancer centers
  • Support for scientific projects
  • Management and organization of tumor conferences

Your qualifications:


  • Completed training as a Medical Documentalist (m/f/d) or a similar qualification
  • Experience in conducting oncological studies
  • Proficient in using a PC (especially Word, Excel, SQL)
  • Experience in handling large amounts of data and ensuring data quality
  • Enjoy analytical thinking
  • Strong understanding of quality standards
  • High level of attention to detail, responsibility, and reliability
  • Communication and teamwork skills
