Overview:

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

Under limited supervision, development, maintenance and delivery of training materials to Therapy Services Coordinators and network providers.

Utilize data for the Therapy Provider Network (TPN) in order to improve customer service to our participants and our therapy providers.

Provides feedback and training to vendors and TPN coordinators when patterns of error are identified.


Pay:
$28-30 hourly

Hybrid 2 days in-office


Responsibilities:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Uses data driven decision making to ensure therapy service coordinators are providing outstanding
customer service. Examples include ensuring participants are seen in a timely manner, collecting reports
on time from our provider network, ensuring authorizations are received and processed in a timely
manner, providing adequate information to our funding source when submitting reports, and ensuring
that cases are closed out after an episode of care to support accurate client counts. Provides direct
feedback and training to therapy services coordinators and vendors to improve outcomes in these areas.

  • Evaluates effective network provider service by reviewing participant assignments to a network provider
and the adequacy of communication to relevant parties (e.g., family, administrative assistant, etc.).

  • Develops, updates, and maintains Therapy Service Coordinator trainings and workflows as directed by the
Director(s) and the Regional Vice President(s)

  • Onboarding of new Therapy Services Coordinators including scheduling and conducting trainings
  • Provides monthly and quarterly data on customer service measures. Proposes action items for
improvements to the Director of Therapy Services, to allow leadership to make data driven business
decisions. Works closely with the TPN managers to improve efficiency and organization of data across the
department.

  • Represents the therapy services team in meetings with the Electronic Health Records Analyst, intake
department, and other internal departments at ESSC as needed to ensure engagement, collaboration, and
efficiency amongst departments.

  • Evaluates network providers' programs for quality assurance.
  • Assists the clinical standards directors in scheduling and organization of audits for our therapy providers.
  • Troubleshoots and resolve network provider/caregiver concerns, e.g. expired authorization, monitoring
network provider productivity, or ensuring participant receives appropriate level of care.

  • Attend all required meetings virually or in person.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:


  • Typically requires H.S. Diploma or national equivalent. Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of training, education and experience to perform the
job successfully.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

Pivot Table, IF Statement functions required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with all levels of
staff and the general public.

  • Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive documentation
and/or situations.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and
Federal Bureau of InvestigatioVn per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.

  • This position will be a hybrid of in office and remote at the discretion of therapy services leadership based
on business need.

  • The position requires frequent typing, sitting, and maintaining close visual attention to and work at a
computer.
