Network Administrator (m/f/d)

Full-time, permanent · Cologne


Your responsibilities:

  • Administration and maintenance of network components in schools and business clients
  • Support of service providers in the installation of network components
  • Analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of reported issues onsite or remotely
  • Collaboration in projects within the network area and across departments
  • Development and optimization of network environments
  • Further development of the network concept for operation in schools and business clients

Your profile:

  • Completed education in the IT field (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a degree in computer science, or equivalent experience as a career changer (m/f/d)
  • Ideally, you have certifications from Cisco (CCNA), Aruba (AMF), or Fortinet (NSE4)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and solutionoriented
  • Strong customer and service orientation, as well as a structured and careful working style
  • Valid driver's license (Class B)
  • Fluent in German, additional languages are a plus

Your experience:
- (In-depth) knowledge in the following areas is desirable:

  • Network technology, especially in the areas of routing, switching, and VPN
  • Operation of LAN components in heterogeneous environments
  • Ideally, experience in planning and implementing network concepts
  • Knowledge of Extreme Networks, HP Aruba, Huawei, and Fortinet is desirable
