    Description

    Clean Harbors in Eden, NC is looking for a Class A CDL Driver to operate heavy and light-duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. The role involves driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prioritize Health and Safety compliance
    • Drive commercial trucks and support field laborers
    • Operate various Class A trucks
    • Load and unload trucks
    • Perform manual labor on-site
    • Ensure proper placarding of vehicles
    • Maintain logs, time sheets, and reports
    • Adhere to all compliance regulations
    • Operate vehicles safely in accordance with regulations
    • Follow corporate guidelines and procedures
    • Observe environmental health and safety guidelines
    • Other assigned duties as needed
    • Potential on-call responsibilities for emergency response
    • Handle site-remediation and hazardous materials

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Valid Class A CDL
    • Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days
    • Proficiency with mobile devices
    • Physical fitness for job requirements
    • Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical evaluation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Commercial driver experience
    • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
    • Prior Hazmat exposure
    • Skills in manual transmission operation
    • Previous manual labor background
