We are currently looking for an experienced Direct Current Protection Specialist (m/f/d) in full-time at our location in Erlangen.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the entire process from proposal creation, engineering phase, performance and customer acceptance tests, to support during commissioning of systems in Erlangen and handover to customers worldwide
  • Support in the creation of DC protection concepts for self-guided multilevel converters with half-bridge and full-bridge modules for various applications
  • Conducting protection coordination studies for HVDC systems, including determination of DC protection settings and creation of study documentation
  • Contribution to programming of software for protection and measurement systems for control technology on the SIMATIC TDC multiprocessor automation system and PLUSCONTROL platform
  • Conducting functional and performance tests: Model-Based Testing (MBT) in SIMULINK and Hardware in the Loop (HiL) with real-time
