Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed.
  • Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.

  • Lead and assist in the daily operation and production support of Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) and Oracle Utility Analytics (OUA).
  • Lead in the maintenance and enhancement of the CC&B and OUA platforms.
  • Work with other Customer and Billing technology platforms to align across strategic initiatives that maximize value and impact.
  • Oversee management of routine and nonroutine system support activities including code and configuration migration.
  • Oversee management of Testing activities in support of CC&B, OUA, and integrated systems.
  • Provide support to facilitate operational efficiency to address business exception management.
  • Identify and drive for resolution of issues and defects in alignment with stakeholder priorities.
  • Oversee managed service contracts for staffing levels and allocations, vendor selection, negotiation, and SLA requirements. Manage contracts, budgets, and change orders.
  • Represent the Company's interests with external stakeholders, such as the New York State Department of Public Service (DPS) Staff.
  • Communicate, engage with external stakeholders such as PSC, NYPA, Joint Utilities as well as other Market participants regarding energy markets and billing.
  • Participate in rate case filings and proceeding for Enhancements, Upgrades and new technologies.
  • Develop presentations to communicate effectively with senior executives, regulators, and external stakeholders, and present on current trends at conferences and industry meetings.
  • Assume other related work as needed.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience. or
  • Master's Degree and with a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Proven leadership skills, innovation and ability to adapt to change are essential. Required
  • The ability to interact with all levels of management effectively and positively, customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, etc. is essential in this dynamic position Required
  • Must have work experience related to system implementations and enhancements, functional knowledge of customer and billing related business processes. Required
  • Strong business acumen; understand company's business and clean energy transition; knowledge of industry landscape, business issues and ability to assess implications to drive decision making to achieve positive outcomes. Required
  • Technical expertise; understand integrated system landscape and data schema as well as enterprise data governance strategy. Required
  • Successfully drive results across a multidiscipline matrixed organization. Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible to concurrently handle multiple assignments and projects, be able to implement process improvements, and able to aggressively meet deadlines. Required
  • A minimum of 10 years work experience including technical knowledge of Con Edison's customer and billing systems, project management, and quality assurance is preferred. Preferred
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge and Test Management experience. Preferred
  • Experience in Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) or other webbased customer platforms. Preferred
  • Knowledge of NYC, NYS, and NYISO energy market rules, regulations, and goals. Preferred
