The Position


The Agile Coach for the Digital, Data and Information Technology department serves to guide teams in embracing Agile methodologies, fostering collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement to enhance product delivery efficiency.

Through mentorship, the Agile Coach supports cross-functional team development, ensuring shared understanding of Agile principles and alignment of IT projects with strategic business goals.

This role will also cultivate a learning environment, encourage experimentation, feedback, and innovation ultimately driving greater value and success in DD& IT initiatives.


Relationships


As the Agile Coach reporting to the Senior Manager of Innovation and Agile, your role centers on engaging with team members to foster collaboration, aide in problem-solving and offer guidance on Agile methodologies.

Additionally, the role requires collaborating with managers and leaders to align Agile practices with business objectives, promote cultural changes, and facilitate the adoption of Agile principles at all organizational levels.

The role will also interact with stakeholders to ensure that Agile practices meet business needs, address concerns and promote transparency in the development process.


Essential Functions

  • Train the organization on Agile mindset, values and methodologies as well as role model techniques and behaviors
  • Role model and seek to anchor Agile mindset, culture and ways of working in the Agile teams, ARTs, Business Owners, Executives and with other relevant stakeholders
  • Execute trainings and workshops to enhance knowledge on the Agile values and ways of working
  • Drive and support the Agile mindset across the organization
  • Help identify and mobilize Communities of Practice
  • Coach and mentor all Agile roles, Agile teams, Agile Release Trains, Business Owners and Executives in the Agile context
  • Coach teams, ARTs, Business Owners, Executives and other stakeholders through adaptation of Agile practices based on the endorsed mandate of the Agile Transformation team
  • Strive for standard SAFe but with a pragmatic touch
  • Produce and share knowledge in a variety of channels
  • Provide handson support to kickstart events and roles e.g. host events to showcase, support Scrum Master handson with selected activities, observe and address behavior, use of Agile tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement and scaling of the Agile methodology, tools and processes based on learnings captured in the Agile teams and ARTs
  • Ongoing evaluation of the Agile implementation across the organization and implementation of changes and new initiatives
  • Active engagement with the global Agile Transformation Office (ATO)/Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) to evolve the Agile methodologies
  • Escalate issues and raise concerns regarding progress as and when necessary to ensure adherence
  • Influence leadership to drive change and enable the organization to move quicker together
  • Support the transformational change journey across the organization
  • Proactively guide and advise LoB (Line of Business) and IT (Information Technology)
  • Inspire the organisation to continuously improve operating model
  • Guide and advice leadership acting as Agile role model

Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required. **This is an on-site position that follows a hybrid schedule. Will not consider 100% remote.


Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Certified SAFe Program Consultant (or similar) or equivalent experience
  • Experience Level: Minimum of 5 years of experience including progressively responsible experience within agile methodologies
  • Technical Experience: Advanced knowledge on Agile tools e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and DevOps
