- Responsible for the design, realization, integration and testing of mechanical components and (sub)systems, for lighting fixtures and lighting controls based on design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications.
- Execute and manages product design from concept to production including design, prototyping, debug, validation, testing and certification. Enforce high quality design methods throughout product cycle to ensure product quality , reliability and safety.
- Make key component, materials and processes decisions , in accordance with the product needs and company guidance.
- Work closely and in collaboration with al the other functions , to ensure that all requirements are being achieved.
- Address regular maintenance business needs , such as components and supplier changes , and the associated documentation updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field
- Product design experience
- Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software and PDM Pro
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
- Familiarity with injection molded plastic, die cast, and sheet metal design and with manufacturing methods & processes
- Experience using product life cycle management and documentation control tools for the release and maintenance of product design documentation
