- Work with structural engineering team to develop sets of plans for bridges, publics works structures, and other structures. These include, but are not limited to:
- Bridge layouts
- Steel plate girder details
- Prestressed concrete details
- Foundation plans
- Rebar detailing
- Deck plans
- Culvert/drainage structures
- Retaining walls
- Create sheets from various roadway and structural 3D models
- Provide technical support to structural design teams
- Work with structural engineering team to develop 3D models in Open Roads Designer/Open Roads Designer
- Application of basic techniques, precepts and detailing practices in development of structural engineering plans
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience working with CADD software and 3D modeling software used in structural engineering
- Experience with AutoCADD, Civil3D, Microstation, PowerGeopak, Open Roads Designer, and Open Bridge Modeler is a plus
- Experience with Production/Task Management to include quality control, documentation management, and consistency in meeting deadlines
- TxDOT or other DOT experience is a plus
