    Procurement Technician with Security Clearance - Oklahoma City, United States - Department of Defense

    Description

    Duties * Notifies the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) of input forms and procedures required to affect action, contracts production, and quality assurance elements to verify or secure required input data.

    * Assists other contracts personnel in resolving problems with Trusted Agent function workload, progress payments, and contract closings.

    * Plays an integral role in influencing the achievement of Agency Level Performance Indicators that are associated with the Contract Closeout and Canceling Funds.

    * Maintains contact with customer and contractors under established contracts in order to discuss and attempt to resolve difficulties related to scheduling deliveries, availability of goods and meeting terms of purchase agreements, etc.

    * Conducts preliminary review of both documents (creates an excel spreadsheet to compare both sets of data) and identifies discrepancies to the Contract Administrator/Administrative Contracting Officer.

    * Establishes, maintains and utilizes databases developed by the team to assure suspense dates are met and that the contract data reflects contractor performance accurately and is available for validation.

    Specialized Experience:

    One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

    To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

    Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.


    Creditable specialized experience includes:

    • Performing technical and administrative contracting support by updating, maintaining, and verifying contract documents.
    • Resolving routine or reoccurring contract content issues, formatting issues, and discrepancies to support contract close out actions.
    • Inputting data to an automated procurement database to compile and extract data for statistical reports.
    • Communicating with customers/contractors to discuss and attempt to resolve contract terms. B.

    Education:

    As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

    Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Additional information * This position does not meet criteria for appointment of Reemployed Annuitants.

    • Highly-Qualified: This category will be used for those candidates who possess the type and quality of experience that substantially exceeds the minimum qualifications of the position, including all selective placement factors and appropriate quality ranking factor(s) as determined by the job analysis. To be Highly-Qualified, the candidates are considered by the Human Resources Office and the selecting official as being highly proficient in all the requirements of the job and can perform effectively in the position almost immediately or with a minimum amount of training and/or orientation. Those that have a cut-off score 97 and above and demonstrate in their resume they possess the competencies to perform effectively.
    • Well-Qualified: The next lower category (Well-Qualified) will be used for those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications of the position and are proficient in some, but not all, of the requirements of the position. Candidates may require some training but not in all areas. Those that have a cut-off score 80 to 96, and have demonstrated in their resume they possess the competencies to perform proficiently.
    • Qualified: This category will be used for the candidates that only meet the basic requirements and eligibilities. Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Those that have a cut-off score 70 to 79 and possess the competencies. Names of the candidates in the Highly-Qualified category will be sent first to the hiring manager for employment consideration. Applicants in other categories will be referred in accordance with category rating procedures.
