Job Summary and Qualifications:


What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients that are acutely ill or have medical needs, which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits.
  • You will monitor and document every therapy encounter, identify any adverse responses/followups, report tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in medical record.
  • You will be responsible for performing patient screenings and deliver to supervising occupational therapist for determination of screen recommendations and for securing the necessary supplies for treatment.
  • You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.
  • You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.

What Qualifications You Will Need:


  • Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
  • Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
  • 1 year of experience as a

Physical Therapy Assistant:
Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.

  • Current BLS certification is required.
