Description
DickersonBakker seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Grant Writer to join our expanding Grant Services team.This pivotal role will contribute to the growth and enhancement of our grant services through a collaborative approach, ensuring exceptional client experiences and increased adaptability to client needs.
Responsibilities:
Develop compelling client deliverables including Letters of Intent, proposals, and reporting materials.
Collaborate closely with the Senior Grant Strategist and Client Service team to meet deliverable timelines and align project approaches with strategic recommendations.
Conduct comprehensive activities to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals.Gather necessary information to report to funders on current grant programs and present proposals to new or renewing funders.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of grant reporting requirements in coordination with Client Service team.
Maintain organized and accessible files, deliverables, and notes using DickersonBakker's systems.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
Strong editing capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in proposal/report writing for institutional donors.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively in team environments.
Experience in program design and outcome collaboration, incorporating funders' interests into approaches.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with research techniques for grant prospect research.
Experience using grant-related databases and institutional fundraising resources.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of five years' experience as a lead grant writer or director of grant services.
