Description

The Environmental Specialist is responsible for supporting all compliance activities, including internal compliance reporting, inspection tracking and reporting, SSO tracking and reporting, business development requests for compliance data and project support.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains the SharePoint site for internal compliance reporting, including updating the site "views" each month, updating the facility list, managing access and training new users.
  • Runs exception reports and follow up to ensures all facilities post their compliance reports
  • Updates all information required to produce data and graphs for the B-Pack and Regional Compliance slide decks
  • Assists the Compliance Manager in reviewing excursion data and verifying reports against WIMS data
  • Prepares the draft B-Pack and Regional Compliance slide decks following Compliance Manager's review of SharePoint excursion data
  • Tracks regional KPI performance
  • Updates the permit repository and tracking document as new permits are received and as contracts are terminated
  • Periodically monitors the EPA ECHO site and compares compliance data to internal compliance reporting. Updates the Significant Noncompliance Tracker (SNC)
  • Runs monthly incident reports from PureOHS and updates the SSO tracker
  • Creates tasks in PureOHS to follow up on regulatory inspections and updates the tracking slide for quarterly trade reviews
  • Collects data on potential excursions for compliance calculations
  • Provides historical compliance data to support project renewal qualifications and risk assessments
  • Provides compliance information and DRC slides for business development requests for prospective projects
  • Provides support for permit reviews, compilation of compliance data, WIMS validation and WIMS user requests

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

_ Education/Experience_:

BS degree and minimum of 3-5 years related experience in the water industry, preferably in water or wastewater operations.

Experience in other functional areas, such as HSE, risk management, finance, or auditing, coupled with water industry experience, also acceptable.

The work environment is characteristic of an office environment: sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities.

The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 lbs.
