This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology practice in northern Phoenix This position is for a full time medical assistant M-F from 8am-4pm.

This is not a high volume clinic, therefore there will be ample time to complete other office tasks, such as prior authorizations and new patient scheduling.

Positive client-facing skills are a must Our team currently consists of one Physician with potential plans for adding additional providers in the near future. Salary is based on experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities:


  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner.
  • Answer patient phone calls and requests, schedule appointments, greet/room patients.
  • Provide general office support; including faxing, copying and scanning, filing, data entry.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
  • Calculate patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits. Collect deposits and copayments.
  • Schedule procedures with hospitals in the valley.
  • Call patients with preop/post op instructions.
  • Keep track of remote monitoring systems.
  • Preparing documents for the Board of Medicine by compiling documents, developing system to track correspondence.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Ensures medical records are pulled and ready. Initiates obtaining needed records from appropriate departments.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in medical assistant duties and practice flow.
  • Cardiology Experience Preferred.
  • Reliable, motivated, proactive in solving problems.
  • Must have experience with electronic medical records.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
