Locally owned Construction, Development, and Real Estate group is now accepting resumes for the position of Senior Accountant. Our diversified operations include homebuilding, real estate development, property management (both residential and commercial,) and ownership of a two-location restaurant chain.

This position is responsible for all accounting functions for a group of companies within our diverse organization including the following:

All accounts payable and receivable, cash management and payroll for the specific companies.

Accounting for all property management activities, both commercial and residential, including accounts payable and receivable, triple net accounting, collections and evictions, and preparation of Rent Roles and Operating Statements.

Payroll preparation and processing, including remitting payroll tax payments, and submitting quarterly and annual payroll reports.

Creating and submitting W-9s and 1099s.

Preparation of monthly or quarterly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss for specific companies.

Maintaining necessary insurance for specific companies.

Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and bank statements for specific companies.

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

5 years full charge accounting experience, including financial reporting and general ledger experience required.
Experience in property management bookkeeping preferred.
Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop, including payroll processing, required.
Strong computer skills including extensive experience with accounting software and Excel, required. Experience with ProContractor preferred.
Must have solid understanding of accounting principles, double entry bookkeeping, financial statements, general ledger management and GAAP.
Must have experience preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of balancing priorities and deadlines.
Bachelors in Accounting related field strongly preferred
Must be able to work in office, this is not a remote position.
