Overview:

Avison Young - Strategy Analyst - Full Time - Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

About the role:

You will be an integral part of our Strategy team and responsible for supporting the delivery of financial analysis on potential M&A and recruiting investments aligned with Avison Young's global strategic plan.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this role will:

Perform financial analysis on M&A and recruiting investments, growth in new services or geographies, affiliate partnerships; including gathering financial and operational data, reviewing, understanding and modeling the data along with seeking answers to questions that might arise from such analysis;
Track and report on investment activity against company key performance indicators;
Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with senior management and Managing Directors fostering trust and open communication related to M&A and recruitment opportunities for the company;
Ensure business decisions are grounded in solid financial data and reasoning;
Develop and maintain complex financial analysis including models, due diligence, competitor analysis, financial reports, databases, and reporting tools;
Develop analysis and adhoc reporting on financial and operating metrics, as needed.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

BA/BS in business, Finance or other quantitative fields;
Minimum of 12 years of previous corporate finance/banking/consulting experience;
Knowledge of financial modeling and MS-Excel;
Prior experience in real estate or professional service industry a plus;
Analytical thinker, detailoriented, high energy level;
Strong communication, influencing and problemsolving skills;
Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and meet deadlines; and
Ability to maintain confidential and professional manner.
