- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of key general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of balances
- Create and monitor standard journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end close procedures
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations, acquisitions, and disposals
- Review financial expenditures to ensure treatment is appropriate and in accordance with GAAP
- Manage the monthly reconciliation of cash accounts
- Assist in filing and reviewing Sales & Use tax via Avalara
- Oversee the company credit card program
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Respond to financial inquiries from operations management by gathering, analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data
- Develop opportunities for process improvement to streamline close and month-end reporting
- Support annual financial audit activities and inquiries
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to management
- Perform ad hoc analysis or other responsibilities as assigned by manager
- Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 3 - 7 years of relevant experience required in accounting or finance with demonstrated career progression
- Ability to collaborate with various partners and stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and financial skills with a track record of execution against deliverables
- Strong attention to detail and a structured mindset with process/continuous improvement and innovative thinking
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills
- Self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential documents
- Experience with automated financial systems and worksheet modeling tools (Excel)
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient knowledge of one or more accounting software programs (Karmak a plus)
- Prior experience with Sage Asset Management
