Disney Theatrical Group (DTG) is seeking a Publicity Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Publicity Team.


Responsibilities:


  • Research and distribute daily press clips (and occasionally social media posts) for DTG worldwide of current events and news relevant to the industry using search engines including Cision and TV Eyes. Continue to monitor breaking DTG and industry news throughout the day to provide update to DTG's leadership.
  • Manage Playbill edits for three DTG productions, ensuring all changes align with union and legal standards for both staff and cast.
  • Coordinate press event travel logistics for the Director of Publicity & Communications, Senior Press Agent, talent and occasionally other team members, monitoring and staying on call for any travel issues for the team and talent.
  • Compile, update and distribute calendars for upcoming publicity events, out of office and remote date" calendar for all six team members.
  • Coordinate and execute multicultural and tourismbased influencer and VIP visits for backstage tours for both Broadway productions.
  • Facilitate large assets and deliverables for press events, releases and Gala ads through collaboration with the Marketing department.
  • Digitize significant press clips and integrate into the decades of archived clips on the shared drive.
  • Process complementary and house seat requests from press outlets, multicultural PR agency partners and influencers, VIP's and synergistic colleagues and Influencers.
  • Create vendors and hire contractual employees (photographers, hair artists, makeup artists, etc.) for press events.
  • Distribute press releases for national distribution (media list of over 1200 contacts), filtering through hundreds of bounce backs to update media lists and replying to outlets with further inquiries about the release.
  • Upload media for the touring press teams to Vimeo for market accessibility.
  • Update Cision searches according to productions opening and closing domestically and internationally.
  • Coordinate with peers across all DTG departments for large divisionwide projects.
  • Coordinate agendas and attend meetings with multicultural agencies.
  • Schedule and participate in departmental meetings to contribute ideas and create and maintain weekly status updates for DTG leadership.
  • Assist the Communications Manager with Disney on Ice (Feld Entertainment) needs, including coordinating meetings with the FELD team, fielding press photo approvals, on site press events and monitoring press breaks.
  • Manage the department's monthly purchases and process departmental bills.
  • Create and submit T&E expense reports for the department Director and Sr. Publicist.

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Familiarity with and interest in entertainmentbased media, print, TV, online and social.
  • Flexibility to work overtime (early morning and evening hours, per project needs) occasionally with short notice.
  • Detail oriented and thrives under a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong Interpersonal, organizational, written and communication skills to assist multiple members of the publicity team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Office, PowerPoint, and
  • Outlook)
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Interest in theatre, general entertainment, publicity, and communications a plus.
