ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Tier 1 Network & Security Operations Team Lead to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

The position may be based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, or Chandler, AZ.

We are looking for a Tier I Network & Security Operations Team Lead with responsibility to provide daily management and oversight to a team of operators providing support for a network, cybersecurity, and cloud operations on a 24x7x365 basis.

The team will monitor network and cloud resources to detect and respond to service impacting events, cybersecurity incidents, and alerts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide direction, guidance, and oversight for Tier 1 support services that include Monitoring; Analysis; Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving; Triage and Escalation to other support entities as needed; Tracking; Reporting; and Closing service requests
Ensure first-line investigation and diagnosis of all incidents, logging all details
Manage technical services and support at the Tier I level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and other network devices and tools; and support for remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
Inform customers of their incident's status at agreed intervals and continuously update incidents as needed
Notify stakeholders of high impact/priority failures using the appropriate escalation procedures
Lead, manage and mentor all Tier I staff
Provide senior level technical direction and engineering knowledge for all Tier I support activities
Provide, maintain, and continuously improve Tier 1 processes and SOPs
Support the development of high-quality deliverables, including but not limited team daily status reports, incident investigation and case analysis, incident assessment and response, SOPs, and more
Lead daily operations and status briefing to senior internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

Either a CCNA or Network+ certification
DoD 8570 IAT Level II or similar certification
A bachelor's degree in a technical field of study
A minimum of (5) five years of IT technical experience in WAN routing and switching in a large, geographically dispersed enterprise environment
A minimum of (5) five years of experience managing a geographically diverse team (40+) of multifunctional NOC or SOC operations staff in a 24x7x365 environment

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS or Azure certifications
ITIL v4 certification

Clearance Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen
A current Top-Secret with clearance with SCI eligibility
Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS EOD suitability; active DHS EOD suitability is desired

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
