    Description

    Insight Global is assisting a Transportation and Logistics client of ours in identifying a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for an open position they have for a contract role that will last most likely until the end of the year. The Pay for this role is anywhere from $20 to $24 an hour. This role is a full time role, M- F - 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

    Responsibilities:


    • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)


    • Receive and process stock products (pick, unload, label, store)


    • Strong inventory/asset management skills. Tasks include but not limited to: inspecting shipments/documents for completeness/damage, applying barcode labels to physical assets, pick/pack, inventory check ins/outs, truck/container loading/unloading, etc.


    • Perform data entry tasks as assigned. To include but not limited to maintaining accurate daily log of all incoming deliveries and internal routing.


    • Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills in a multi-cultural environment.


    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work performed.

    Must Haves:


    • High School Graduate


    • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in shipping operations, preferably in the logistics industry, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Plusses:


    • Associates or Bachelors Degree


    • Direct experience working in the satellite/telecom and/or logistics industry.


    • Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System


    • Knowledge of various documentation, such as Air Waybill, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Purchase Order, etc.
