Position Summary


This position is responsible for the timely and accurate tracking and importing of information within the Shipping, Receiving, and Pick/Pack department.

The individual in this role will support both departments with data entry, filing, tracking, and other clerical duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage the timely importing of receiving documents in ERP system.
  • Assist in tracking customer orders through the life cycle to hit targeted completion dates.
  • Print and prepare shipping documents for shipments leaving the facility.
  • Upload pictures of all projects leaving the facility into the ERP system.
  • Update ERP system with customer orders that shipped each day.
  • Update ERP and tracking spreadsheets with orders picked and ready daily.
  • Update team of any shortages identified to complete an order.
  • Scan, file, and organize paperwork for orders in progress and shipped daily.
  • Maintain open communication with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and the Pick/Pack Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with college degree preferred.
  • 12 years' experience / basic knowledge of Shipping & Receiving.
  • Ability to effectively work independently, be well organized, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to interface with others in a professional manner while maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude.
  • Possess technical ability, with an eye for abnormalities and aptitude for detail.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.
  • Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and the ability to learn new software as required.
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM - 3pm (may vary by area in department). Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
