    A Brief Overview
    Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

    Qualifications
    Lerner Tower 6 is a 30 bed Medical/Surgical adult inpatient care division providing care for primarily Orthopaedic patients. Orthopaedics includes total joint replacement, fracture, sports, spine and orthopeadic trauma services with a focus on surgical Geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include total hip replacement, total knee replacement, fracture, lumbar/cervical spine surgery and Dural tears. LT6 is an ACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) unit, has received advanced recognition from Joint Commission for the care of Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement patients and has been awarded the Gold and Silver Beacon recognition for Excellence in Nursing Care.

    Education Qualifications
    • Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing or
    • (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
    • (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
    • (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
    Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
    • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
    Licenses and Certifications
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire Required and
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire Required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
