Description

The CMM Programmer/Inspector will be responsible for maintaining quality with inspections and quality assurance processes for electro-mechanical, mechanical and magnetic devices.

The CMM Programmer/Inspector will support testing, recording, analyzing and documenting the data in compliance with regulatory requirement and technical standards.

Versatile skills will be highly considered for supporting a variety of activities within manufacturing to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, ISO 9001, and AS9100 requirements.

This person must be meticulous in their work, skilled in quality processes and statistical techniques, has experience with measurement test equipment.

The CMM Programmer/Inspector rate is dependent on experience and knowledge of operating and programming a CMM.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect materials to quality standards required by customers and quality system
  • Monitor quarantined and nonconforming materials
  • Understand the requirements of the Quality System such as: Good Documentation Practices, Quality Systems Procedures, Work Instructions, Quality Records, Audits, Training, Non-Conforming Reports, Product Handling, and Document/Data Control.
  • Compile and maintain daily Quality Assurance metrics
  • Review and evaluate quality data, records to ensure accuracy, completeness, appropriate release and control of products
  • Must follow Quality Policy and established procedures

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to pass a secure background check to DOD/DOE standards to obtain a top secret security clearance in the future:


  • Prefer at least 2 years Quality Inspector experience using metrology and quality inspection equipment (Mechanical):

Must know how to use and program Programmable/Automatic Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) including brands like Mitutoyo, Browne and Sharpe, and Starrett:

  • Ability to conduct detailed acceptance, verification, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Incoming, First Article and Final Inspections with mechanical and/or electrical devices.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting disciplined Quality Systems such as Mil Spec, IPC, AS9100, ISO 9001 specifications
  • Experienced with standard measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, optical comparator, GD&T and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Independently interpret and follow engineering specifications drawing.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings and schematics, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to communicate results of inspections to peers and supervisors verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: Excel Spreadsheets, Word processing, Email, Measuring equipment software, CMM Programming

Pay:
From $23.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
