    Description

    Job Title: Field Safety Coordinator

    Salary: $140k (negotiable)

    Location: Bronx NYC

    Industry: Heavy Civil Construction

    We have a fantastic opportunity at a local long standing, reputable heavy civils contractor who focus on utilities. Based in the Bronx, it's a great location and to join a company that focuses on personal growth with even better rewards.

    You will be collaborating closely with the safety team, providing inspections to comply with OSHA standards.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Site-Specific Health & Safety Plans
    • Experience working with NYC agencies such as The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)
    • Conducts accident investigations and completes reports as required
    • Assists Safety Director with the identification of root causes for such events to develop and provide the required training to help prevent future occurrences.
    • Capable of identifying existing and potential exposures and able to recommend corrective action

    Experience:

    • 5 years experience in construction field safety
    • Knowledge of MTA
    • 62hr SST
    • CHST
    • Member of the ASSP
    • Track certified - NYCT
