The Role:

Working with the team to provide client solutions for all project cargo freight forwarding, but not limited to:

• Investigate transport options including identification of suppliers, equipment, transport route and port management.
• Reviewing project options, considering different factors including time, costs, safety requirements, schedule; etc.
• Understand, review and discuss client project needs with Team
• Mentoring, managing and facilitating operational requirements within the team
• Import and export with various modes of transport (Air/Sea/Road/Rail)
• RORO / BBK / Part Charter / Full Charter / oversize road modes of transport to be quoted, operated and managed within role, and providing support to team in this area
• Approach, negotiate and award suppliers in accordance with project needs
• Execute and manage the project plan in accordance with client and NMT requirements
• Manage project team to prepare internal and external reports throughout the life cycle of the project
• Adaptable with all operational needs, able to quote, approve, manage, understand clients and suppliers, coordinate team and ensure the function within the SOW on hand is being maintained.

T
he successful applicant MUST have

• Minimum 7 years experience in Break Bulk freight forwarding
• Breakbulk / RORO cargo (MUST)
• Full turnkey quotes for clients
• Liaise with Suppliers and Clients
• Booking direct with Carriers to / from various locations
• Global exposure (MUST)
• Follow up on Reports, lessons learnt with suppliers and clients
• Document control per shipment (Bill of Lading, EEI, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Dock Receipt)
• Deal with Customs and all other government authorities relating to import / export clearances
• Excellent skills with software such as: EDI Cargowise, Microsoft products (benefit)
• Great problem solving and level minded approach

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

This is a time critical role, therefore excellent time management skills is a must as well as a sense of urgency.

Pay:
$75, $100,000.00 per year
