- Seeking and maintaining current pricing from multiple vendors providing components.
- Establishing and maintaining current pricing for the various machine variants and respective sizes
- Establish a file of and current literature on competition with comments on relative strengths and weaknesses
- Establish and maintain file of materials processed and effectiveness
- Sales
- Promptly respond to customer and representative inquiries by phone, fax, e-mail, or mail as required.
- Set up, assist in running, and provide report on customer tests
- Size system components to support product lines
- Provide quotes as appropriate
- Follow up on leads and quotes until closure
- Product Development
- Constantly seek improvements to existing lines
- Provide market feedback to engineering and marketing
- Coordinate with engineering to incorporate product changes which have demonstrated customer appeal
- Actively participate on product development team
- Promotion
- Seek new markets for product line through innovation, R&D, and professional associations
- Recommend advertising, and promotions to address specific markets or sales needs
- Provide training to representatives
- Provide seminars to customers and other influential individuals or groups to establish or maintain strong relationships
- Attend trade shows
- Write or contribute to technical articles and case histories
- Reports to Vice President Sales & Marketing
