    Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Location: Hughson, California

    Job Type: Full-time, Contract Position School Year)

    Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year in Hughson, California. As an integral member of our special education team, the SLP will work collaboratively to assess, diagnose, and provide intervention services for students with communication disorders or delays. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
    2. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs.
    3. Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and pragmatic language.
    4. Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies and activities to address speech and language goals outlined in students' IEPs.
    5. Monitor students' progress regularly through ongoing assessment and adjust intervention plans as necessary to ensure meaningful outcomes.
    6. Provide support and training to teachers, staff, and parents on strategies to facilitate communication and language development in various educational settings.
    7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations.
    8. Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology through professional development opportunities and continuing education.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    2. Valid California state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
    4. Previous experience working with school-aged children with diverse communication needs and disabilities preferred.
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
    6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    7. Ability to prioritize and manage caseload effectively in a school setting.
    8. Commitment to cultural competency and sensitivity in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
