Position Summary
The Packer position is responsible for various handling activities of finished extruded products. Packers will also identify, discard, and communicate to the appropriate individual about non-conforming product and disruptions to production.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment can be loud.


Essential Functions

  • Perform individual handling, visual inspection, and bagging/packaging activities for various extruded medical tubing
  • Perform core removal and traying operations on all overjacket lines for various extruded medical tubing
  • Collaborate with supervisor and production operator to understand and execute specific tasks associated with specific jobs
  • Properly fill out traying/packaging logs and other controlled documents as needed
  • Adhere to policies and procedures related to customer requirements
  • Train, as needed, on new policies and procedures as dictated by the customer or departmental requirements
  • Utilize specific equipment related to traying/handling/packaging as necessary
  • Perform other duties as directed by Shift Lead, Production Supervisor, or Braiding Department Management
  • Ability to understand specific directions and follow guidelines that are common throughout the department
  • Work with moderate supervision
  • Adaptable to changes in job duties and priorities as production needs demand
  • Must be teamwork oriented and have the ability to develop strong working relationships with department/team members
  • Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and workrelated injuries to site supervision

Qualifications
Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
