    SUMMARY

    :

    The Instructor/Assistant Professor in Kinesiology position, is a ten-month position with the possibility of summer teaching duties. Candidates will potentially teach at both the graduate and undergraduate level. The start date is August 2024.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Kinesiology, or related field, from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five years of higher education, experience, teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated coll11l1itment and evidence of effective classroom teaching; scholarship/research; and institutional/professional contributions.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional formats and settings (off­ campus, weekends, online, and/or distance technology)
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for 1) delivering quality instruction in courses for the undergraduate Kinesiology and/or graduate Sports Administration program 2) supervising undergraduate and/or graduate practicums, 3) advising undergraduate and graduate students, 4) pursuing a focused area of research and scholarship that culminates in publications, professional presentations, and submission of grant proposals, 5) holding active membership in relevant professional associations/organizations, and 6) serving on committees and participating in official activities at the department, college, and university levels.
