    Communications Manager - Charlotte, United States - Charlotte Country Club

    General Description:

    The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing all Club communication strategies to promote our brand and engage with our members and team members. Additionally, the Communications Manager will work closely with various teams to create compelling content and manage our communication channels including social media, website, and newsletters.

    Essential Functions:
    • Designs, writes, composes, and edits all Club publications, marketing collateral, e-newsletters, and targeted emails; collects, organizes, and publishes all copy on a timely basis; proofs content for corrections and changes.
    • Coordinates with Club leadership to write and edit official letters from the General Manager and Club President. Composes formal letters, emails, and memos.
    • Manages branding through all touch points of the Club's business including pro shops, pool complex, clubhouse, publications, and electronic media.
    • Routinely updates the Charlotte Country Club website with current information and performs any page maintenance necessary.
    • Assists members with website login and email settings.
    • Manages all Club social media accounts, which includes posting and monitoring content, monitoring tags and comments, and allowing access to members.
    • Oversees branding of the Club within our community and industry.
    • Leads all swim team marketing efforts which includes launching the registration process, sending team recruitment emails, sending meet information emails to the team, and more.
    • Works closely with Club leadership to spearhead the Annual Meeting presentation while coordinating event details with staff and the Board.
    • Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve communication efforts.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree is required with a major in communications, hospitality, or a similar field of study.
    • Minimum of five years of experience in marketing/communications.
    • A background in hospitality is preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as proper grammar are essential.
    • Graphic design skills with software experience in Canva and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat are required.
    • Experience with social media, video, and digital publishing platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Issuu, etc.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams with little oversight or direction.
    • Handles sensitive information and always maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
    • Exceptional organization, project management, and time-management skills.
    • Detail oriented with the ability to handle/prioritize multiple projects.
    • Deadline driven and highly motivated.
    • Desire to constantly learn new skills and ways to enhance programming at Charlotte Country Club.
    Language, Communication & Technological Skills
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook).
    • Ability to read and interpret multiple documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, financial documents, professional journals, procedure manuals
    • Ability to write complex reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, members
    • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
