IT Support Specialist


Financial Information Inc, (FII) has an excellent opportunity available for a hands-on, IT support role to provide desktop, infrastructure, and helpdesk support for our employees and customers on our internal systems, and internal and external products and services.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of FII Online, FII's webbased query system clients use to access FII's data in realtime.
  • Manage first line infrastructure support for expired subscriptions, password resets and backend system infrastructure support.
  • Provide Client Support by being able to effectively communicate with Clients to solve product and service issues that may arise.
  • Provide Employee Support by being able to effectively communicate with FII Employees to solve infrastructure problems that may arise.
  • Provide infrastructure input on projects around issues and questions on environment and technical specifications.
  • Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.

Desired Education and Skills:


  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or relevant degrees is nice to have but IT support and infrastructure experience is needed.
  • 2+ years of IT, Infrastructure, and Tech Support experience is needed.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft 365 Applications
  • Knowledge of and experience with Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Entra and Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Active Directory (Legacy) and replication to Entra
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration
  • Knowledge of and experience with Patching/software updates
  • Knowledge of and experience with Basic Azure knowledge.
  • Effective Collaborator with both business and technical teams.
  • Effective communication skills are needed as this role will be required to effectively work with both clients and employees.
  • Able to understand and articulate short
- and long-term fixes to technical solutions.

  • Broad understanding of technology marketplace and trends, with sufficient depth to assess emerging technologies and technology partners.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models.
  • Experience with the integration of data in legacy systems.
  • Desire to work and possess interest in IT infrastructure and managing Server, PC, and end user support.

Bonus Skills - Ideally, you may also have experience with or possess:

  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry with a background in Back Office and Asset Servicing, preferably Corporate Actions.
  • Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience with continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, build automation & unit testing.
  • Coding or scripting skills such as PowerShell, T-SQL, VB.Net, C#

Competitive Benefits Package

  • Salary starts at $65,000/yr. Competitive compensation will be based on education and background.
