The DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education contributes to tackling challenges in the education sector through empirical research, digital infrastructure, and knowledge transfer.

With locations in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, the DIPF generates and documents knowledge about education and supports science, policy, and practice.

The Department of Library for Educational History Research is seeking a:

Data Management Employee

for the DFG project "Between Alija and Flight: Jewish Youth Associations and Zionist Education under the Nazi Regime and in Pre-State Israel ".

45% of regular weekly working hours. Fixed-term for 36 months. Remuneration according to EG 9 Collective Agreement for the Public Service of the State of Hessen (TV-H).

The place of employment is Berlin.


For the project, the BBF Archive is responsible for securing the sources collected in international archives as part of a sub-project.


Your tasks

  • Capturing descriptive and contentrelated metadata for 20th century text and image sources
  • Checking and enriching existing metadata and digitized materials
  • Collecting and recording biographical information
  • Participation in regular project meetings and exchange with researchers on data structuring questions

Requirements

  • University degree in a humanities subject, preferably Judaic Studies or Data Management
  • Excellent understanding of technical systems
