- Tissue culture of a variety of mammalian cell types, especially iPSCs.
- Perform various biological techniques including fluorescence microscopy, nucleic acid isolation, Western blotting, PCR, and molecular cloning.
- Analyze the quality and quantity of AAV vectors using assays such as qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, and endotoxin testing.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and execute novel assays as required.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve milestones.
- Contribute to the organization and maintenance of laboratory space, inventory, and supplies.
- Maintain precise experimental records and lab documentation in an electronic notebook.
- Effectively communicate progress and findings to colleagues within and across groups.
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field and 0-2 years of industry experience.
- A strong understanding of mammalian cell culture methods including aseptic technique.
- Proficiency with at least 3 of the following: cell-based assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, western blot, qPCR, ddPCR, DNA/RNA extraction for NGS applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Prior experience working with iPSCs, AAV, and/or muscle biology is preferred.

Description
MeiraGTx is a clinical-stage gene therapy company that develops next generation therapies using our highly flexible platform and manufacturing process. The pre-clinical vector design group at MeiraGTx employs high-throughput screening in disease-relevant models and machine learning to engineer new AAV-based gene therapies for diseases of the muscle and central nervous system.
We are searching for a curious individual who is comfortable multitasking and working with a team as well as independently on various aspects of the platform. This individual will join a dynamic and highly collaborative team. For this position, under the guidance of senior scientists, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for culturing and experimenting on a variety of in vitro models including iPSCs, assessing AAV vector integrity to support in vivo experimentation, and developing new assays as needed.

The salary range for this full-time, in-person position is $65,000 - $85,000. Within the range, individual pay and title is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
