    Description
    ADVI Strategic Analytics and Value Economics (SAVES) is hiring for a full-time senior data scientist position.

    Candidates REQUIRED to have:
    Professional experience manipulating healthcare claims datasets with SAS, SQL, STATA, or SPSS. You will not be considered without this requirement.

    Candidates should have:
    A Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferable in a healthcare, economic, or mathematics related fieldAt least 7 years of professional experience with at least 5 of which working in SAS, SQL, or other relevant programming experienceExtensive experience working with health care datasets and performing quantitative researchStrong skills and experience in

    Microsoft Office:
    Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExcellent oral and written communication skills

    What position will be doing:
    Perform healthcare claims-based analytics for clients (pharmaceutical industry, medical device manufacturers, and national stakeholders)


    Analytics will include:
    health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), market basket assessment of diseases or treatment usage, , and similar studies.

    Designing and executing analyses in Medicare and Medicaid healthcare claimsLead in the development and production of deliverables (Excel workbooks and PowerPoint decks) as well as communicating results to the client.

    Manage data analysts and assist in the QA of programs and analyses

    An ideal candidate may also have:Experience working in health care consulting, pharmaceutical/device manufacturer, or for a government agencyExperience working in HEOR, value and economics outcomes research (VEOR), or real world evidence (RWE) claims experienceUnderstanding of health care policy issues in Medicare and/or MedicaidExperience writing about health care policies and policy analysisExperience reading healthcare regulations and interpreting policiesExperience working with data offered in the CMS' Chronic Condition WarehouseExperience working in the Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC) offered by CCWExperience working with data in Medicare Standard Analytic Files (SAF), Research Identifiable Files (RIF), or Medicaid T-MSIS data

    Senior Data Scientist position at ADVI Health is a Director level position. The position eligible for performance bonuses, and long term incentive benefits.
